How Can I Help?

External link opens in new tab or windowWoman doing shopping for elderly neighbor There are many ways you can assist Our Community Hunger Center in our mission to feed our hungry neighbors in the Twinsburg, Ohio area. We need both in-kind donations and financial support. Monetary donations can be made via PayPal (click the button in the top of any page of this website) or by mail.  Donors names will not be shared outside the organization.  We will pick up financial and/or in-kind donations if you give us a call. In-kind donations of food (fresh, frozen, and non-perishable), hygiene items, household supplies, and paper products can be dropped off at the Center during business hours; You can leave in-kind donations outside the Center if we are not there when you arrive. See the list at the bottom of the page for items that we need. We keep the list updated with the items in most urgent need.

There are small things you can do that would be very helpful, and some won’t cost you anything!

  • Like and follow us on Facebook. That way you will be alerted to our activities and can contribute your ideas to provide support for our neighbors. External link opens in new tab or windowContact us and provide your email; we will send you our email news updates.

  • Send us your money-saving household tips and your budget-friendly recipes for healthy dishes. We will share them with our recipients and Facebook friends.
  • Sign up as a member of External link opens in new tab or windowCommonKindness and use their coupons. Manufacturers offer special coupons on that website, many of which are hard-to-find high-value coupons for organic foods and environmentally friendly cleaners. If you designate us as your charity of choice, each time you redeem a coupon from the website, External link opens in new tab or windowCommonKindness will make a donation to our food pantry.

  • When you shop and see a great deal, buy a few extras and donate them. If you use coupons, shop where they will be doubled. In fact, join External link opens in new tab or windowGiant Eagle Couponers on Facebook, where you will find coupons matched up with all the sale items on a weekly basis. The first post on the page will lead you to weekly deals, where you can sometimes get items at a very low price (pennies!) or for free.

  • Send us your unused coupon inserts from the Sunday newspaper and the mail so we can stock our shelves more econ omically.

  • When you are disposing of unused incontinence supplies and opened household cleaners, drop them off at the Center.

  • Sponsor a family or two for our Easter, Thanksgiving, or Christmas.  We are gearing up for Thanksgiving and Christmas.  We have a record (180) children this year.  If you would like to sponsor a child or a family for Christmas, please reachout to us through email or by phone 330-963-3663.
